My Absolute Favorite Lego Container Ever!

Several months ago, my son began started playing with Legos...and I became a Lego Mom.

Lego Mom: noun, def Mother of lego child; finder of legos, usually in the middle of the night by contact with feet; possessor of loud Lego scream (produced by contact of Legos to said feet).

And then I found this (possibly the best toy container ever invented):

My son (and now daughter) can spread out the Lay-n-Go, play for hours, and then quickly cinch up the bag and put ALL the Legos away...and I no longer find spare Legos with the bottom of my feet.

I love the Lay-n-Go! Honestly, this is the best Lego container ever.

My Hello Card...And Some Bleach

CREATE Magazine has a weekly competition, and I decided to give it a try. The challenge this week is to use these colors:

I decided to try something different, and I ended up using bleach on my card. What do you think?

You are probably wondering where is the bleach, right?

I made this card with light grey cardstock which I ran through my Big Shot using an embossing folder. Then I took a Q-tip dipped in bleach and outlined the embossed shape. It turned white(ish), which allowed me to color in the flowers and stems with the aqua (flowers) and chartreuse (stems and leaves). I glittered the corner and added the pearl brad and ribbon (which I stamped with hello in grey ink).

Here's another angle that shows the embossing a little better:

I know this card really doesn't look like I used bleach. But, trust me...I have the after-effects of the fumes to prove it, lol. :-)

It felt great to make a card again...it has been a long time. And I really liked the effect of the bleach...on the card. I think I may try it again, but next time I'll be sure to do it in a well-ventilated spot or wear a mask or something.

While everyone is tired of the election rhetoric, I believe that most of us have a solid idea of who we will vote for. I do not believe, however, that most voters can give a solid reason of WHY they will vote for a particular candidate.

I saw this today, and it so completely gives my reasons that I thought I would share:

"On November 6, 2012, who will I vote for? I will vote for the most pro-life candidate, because God hates the shedding of innocent blood. (Proverbs 6:16-17) I will vote for the most pro-Israel candidate, because God blesses those who bless Israel and curses those who don't. (Genesis 12:3) I will vote for the most pro-debt reduction candidate, because the borrower is servant to the lender. (Proverbs...22:7) I will vote for the most pro-work candidate, because God says if a man does not work, let him not eat. (2 Thessalonians 3:10) I will vote for the candidate who most closely believes government's purpose is to reward the good and punish the evil. (Romans 13) I will vote based as close as I can on God's Word, (2 Timothy 3:16) knowing that whoever gets elected, God is the one who puts all men in authority. (Daniel 2:21) May God have mercy on America. I will vote." -author unknown

I pray that you not only will vote, but that you will vote intelligently. No matter which candidate you choose, you will live with the consequences of that choice.
